About
Thrive Afrika is an ecosystem builder that uses research, advisory, convening, storytelling and capacity strengthening as tools to strengthen the infrastructure behind social impact across Africa.
Our evolution
We began as a social impact agency. Over many years of work across the continent — designing strategies, producing convenings, documenting movements, advising corporates and foundations — we kept arriving at the same lesson: the actors are strong. The connective tissue is weak.
So Thrive Afrika has evolved into an ecosystem architecture organisation. Our greatest contribution does not come from directly supporting individual social innovators, but from enabling the institutions, funders, support organisations, policymakers and networks around them to work differently — and to work together.
Our work is consciously situated within Agenda 2063 — particularly its aspirations for a prosperous Africa based on inclusive growth, an Africa with a strong cultural identity, and an Africa whose development is driven by its own citizens.

Our DNA
We embody integrity, transparency and responsibility, building trust through honest and accountable action.
We believe in the power of collaboration and unity. Working in partnership, we achieve shared success.
We celebrate and affirm the dignity of every individual, fostering respect and inclusivity in all our engagements.
We draw wisdom from the past to shape a more prosperous future, continuously learning and evolving.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of excellence and authenticity in every endeavour.
Theory of change
When the conditions of an ecosystem are healthy, the actors within it emerge, endure and collaborate — and change is conceived, led and owned from within.
Social impact is not delivered to communities. It is built with them. We measure ourselves not by the projects we deliver, but by the strength of the conditions we leave behind.
